I just found out that the Indigo Girls are scheduled to play this
year's Clearwater Festival in Hudson, NY. According to the Indigo
Girls website they will be playing on Sunday, June 19. They are not
mentioned anywhere on the Clearwater site yet, but the Sunday schedule does mention "special guests" to perform at the closing ceremony. :-)
Tickets for the festival are $35 for a day ticket (good for either
Saturday or Sunday) or $50 for the weekend before May 31 (members: $30/$45). After that the price goes up to $40/$55 (members: $35/$50) before June 17, and then $45/$60 at the gate.

Tue, May 24, 2005 - 2:45 PMIf you live in the greater Tri-State area and you haven't been to this festival, you are missing out big-time! It's not far from NYC and it's even closer to other places. Also, you're helping out a great cause, but even if you weren't the musical line-up is equal or better than any other show you've ever seen.
If you live in the City you have no excuse (except maybe father's day, but why not give dad the gift of music?) to skip this. All you have to do is get on Metro North - I think that the Festival even has an arrangement for discount tickets with them. There are multiple shuttles from the Croton-Harmon station parking lot to the festival and they run all day long. If you are driving, you can park right at the Croton-Harmon Train Station and then ride the shuttle to the festival.
Anyway, I just want to encourage everyone to go because you will have a great time.
